HCM CITY — The HCM City’s Party Committee’s Inspection Commission has issued warnings and taken disciplinary action against some senior leaders for committing violations.
At a meeting in HCM City on July 6, the commission announced disciplinary action against Tất Thành Cang, Politburo member and deputy secretary of the committee, for violations related to the sale of the Phước Kiển residential area in the outlying district of Nhà Bè in June last year.
He had reportedly allowed the State-owned Tân Thuận Investment and Construction Co Ltd to sell a 33.1ha plot to Quốc Cường Gia Lai Company at much lower than the market price.
Cang was found to have made unauthorised decisions and violated regulations on the management of properties, investment by State enterprises and the real estate business.
But the commission did not reveal what action it took against him.
It also issued a warning to Thái Thị Bích Liên, chief officer of the committee.
It said that while managing the properties of companies run by the committee, she had “acted without responsibility and made wrong decisions.”
A warning was also issued to the management of the Phú Nhuận Household Construction Trade One Member Limited Liability Company, whose members are also Party members.
Their violations related to the sale of a residential area in An Phú Ward, District 2, without holding an auction and “acting without responsibility and making wrong decisions.” — VNS
