Police arrest 5 suspects in gambling ring

HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Public Security arrested five suspects in an online gambling ring, worth hundreds of billions of đồng, in HCM City on Thursday afternoon.

Initial investigation reveals that the suspects had illegally allowed people to gamble via the website bong88.com. The gamblers were provided online accounts so that they could pour their money in exchange for scores to gamble. The website was run by a foreign server.

Police also seized many desktops as well as CPUs containing traces of gambling transactions at the suspects’ houses.

They are further investigating the case. — VNS
