HÀ NỘI — The Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing and Consulate General in China’s Guangzhou province to deploy citizen protection measures for a Vietnamese fisherman rescued at sea by Chinese authorities.

Nguyễn Quốc Hân, a fisherman of QNg 95806 TS fishing vessel from Việt Nam’s central province of Quảng Ngãi, was heavily wounded while diving on January 20. He was provided with emergency aid and surgery by Chinese relevant agencies, and survived critical conditions.

Việt Nam’s Consulate General in Guangzhou province sent representatives to visit the fisherman on January 29.

They thanked Chinese competent agencies for their help and requested the Chinese side to continue assisting the fisherman.
