ĐÀ NẴNG — A group of 11 fishermen adrift on a fishing boat were saved off the coast of Đà Nẵng yesterday and their vessel towed to safety.
Director of the Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre, Bùi Tân Nguyên, said the boat, DNa 90415TS, was from Sơn Trà district in Đà Nẵng.
He said it broke its rudder on Monday 65 nautical miles off the coast of Đà Nẵng.
Nguyên said fishing boats often faced rough seas during the final month of the Lunar New Year.
According to the rescue centre, four fishing boats with a total of 22 sailors from Quảng Nam, Nam Định, Bình Định and Đà Nẵng have been saved since early January. — VNS
