QUẢNG NINH — An explosion at a footwear factory in Quảng Ninh Province on Monday afternoon killed one female workers and injured four, one of whom is critical.
The explosion reportedly occurred during working hours at 2pm when a shoe upper steaming machine blew up inside a Sao Vàng Leather and Footwear factory in Uông Bí City.
Lê Thị Ánh Tuyết, a 36-year-old division deputy manager, died.
Another worker, 32-year-old Đỗ Thị Thủy, lost consciousness. Three others suffered minor injuries.
The five were rushed to the local Việt Nam-Sweden Hospital, but Tuyết and Thủy had to be transferred to Hà Nội due to their critical conditions.
