HCM CITY – The HCM City Transport Department’s Urban Traffic Management Board No.1 began construction on the expansion of Phú Nhuận District’s Hoàng Minh Giám Street yesterday.
The 433m-long street will be expanded from 10.5 – 21m to 30m wide, with a total of six lanes for vehicles. Its pavement will also be upgraded.
This is the third of six projects that aim to reduce traffic congestion around Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport.
The expansion project is worth VNĐ166 billion, of which VNĐ43 billion is for construction and VNĐ106 billion for compensation to residents affected by the project. – VNS
