HÀ NỘI – The Hà Nội Police caught a 26-year-old man for allegedly making fake seals and documents of state organisations on Thursday.
Phạm Tiến Nghĩa, who lives in Nam Từ Liêm District, was caught for making fake health examination papers and hospital permits for entry and exit.
Earlier, the police came to know about a man who was delivering 14 health examination papers and hospital permits for entry and exit on Ngô Quyền Street, Hàng Bài Ward in Hoàn Kiếm District.
The receiver was Trần Anh Tú, student of a university in Hà Nội.
Following investigations, the police got to know that Tú and Hoàng Công Dương, his schoolmate, were sold the papers on social network.
Tú and Dương confessed to the police that they got the paper from an acquaintance having the nick name Kha giấy khám (Kha health examination papers).
The health examination papers were bought at VNĐ20,000 (US$0.9) each and re-sold for VNĐ40,000 ($1.8). The hospital permits for entry and exit were bought at VNĐ70,000 ($3.1) each and re-sold at VNĐ110,000 to VNĐ150,000 ($4.9-6.7).
The buyers were students, people applying for jobs, people needing papers to apply for sick leave, among others.
Following further investigation, the police detected Nghĩa.
After conducting a search of Nghĩa’s boarding house, the police seized different seals of hospitals and doctors.
Nghĩa confessed that he made the counterfeit papers and sold them through his Facebook account. – VNS
