ĐÀ NẴNG — Ngũ Hành Sơn district police investigators arrested two robbery suspects Monday night.
Senior colonel Ngô Đình Thu, deputy head of the district’s public security department, said today that one of two arrestees was Huỳnh Khắc Vinh, 22, from Quảng Nam Province.
Vinh, who was studying at the Hội An-based Phan Châu Trinh, said he and a group broke into a jewelry shop in Lê Văn Hiến Street around 9pm, using rocks to smash and grab.
The robbers took some golden ear-rings and jewels from the shop.
Local residents joined to block the robbers, but other accomplices used motorbikes to help the burglars escape.
Police seized only two men, but they refuse to give official name of the second arrestee.
A civilian broke his leg while pursuing the robbers.
The case is under investigation.
