VN students win 2 top prizes at Int’l Robothon

Students from Trần Cao Vân and Lê Quý Đôn schools in the central city of Đà Nẵng won top prizes in two categories -- apprentices and veterans -- at the 2016 International Robothon Contest for primary and secondary students in Malaysia last Sunday.

HCM CITY — Students from Trần Cao Vân and Lê Quý Đôn schools in the central city of Đà Nẵng won top prizes in two categories -- apprentices and veterans -- at the 2016 International Robothon Contest for primary and secondary students in Malaysia last Sunday.

Vietnamese students also won nine second, third and consolation prizes.

Việt Nam had sent 53 teams to the contest, which this year had the theme “Internet of Things.”

Contestants had to make robots and programme them to collect and deliver data.

The teams had been selected through competitions held in HCM City, Hà Nội and Đà Nẵng by local educational departments and DTT-Eduspec Joint Venture. —VNS
