HÀ NỘI — The Military Command of Chương Mỹ District in Hà Nội has mobilised over 300 officers and soldiers, along with local militia forces, to assist farmers of Mỹ Lương Commune in harvesting rice.

The move came after Typhoon Yagi struck Hà Nội, leaving many areas in the district, including rice fields nearing harvest, submerged in water.
To harvest flooded rice, soldiers and farmers have to gather the rice, cut and then put it on a tarpaulin to pull it ashore. |
While there were no human casualties, the commune suffered significant damage to its rice crops.
