ĐỒNG NAI — Five people have died after an explosion at a wood factory in the southern Đồng Nai Province at around 8.30am on Wednesday.

A number of people were injured and have been taken to Thống Nhất General Hospital and other medical facilities in the province for treatment.

Among the five victims taken to Thống Nhất, one was in critical condition, hospital director Phạm Văn Dũng told Vietnam News Agency.

Đồng Nai Provincial General Hospital has also deployed its ambulances to the scene to provide emergency aid to the victims.

A boiler explosion is suspected to be the cause of the incident. Further investigations are being carried out. — VNS
