ĐỒNG NAI — Deputy Prime Minister Trần Hồng Hà has instructed the Ministry of Transport and other ministries to soon identify contractors for component four of the Long Thành International Airport in Đồng Nai Province.

According to the ministry, the airport’s ongoing first phase is in the list of important national projects approved by the Government and includes four components, and it has been assigned to identify contractors for the fourth.

It involves construction of the ground service vehicle maintenance area and aircraft cleaning area Nos. 1 and 2, meal supply areas, airline operation centres Nos. 1 to 3, and aircraft maintenance areas Nos. 1 to 4.

The Airports Corporation of Vietnam is assigned to sign up contractors for component 3, which involves building passenger terminals and runways.

The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation is in charge of component 2, which includes the air control tower and other facilities for flight management.

Component 1 includes five construction works, including the headquarters of State management agencies, assigned to various ministries, departments and the People's Committee of Đồng Nai Province. — VNS
