YÊN BÁI — As a global leader in healthcare, Bayer has made efforts to foster collaboration with relevant stakeholders to improve community healthcare in Việt Nam.
It has joined forces with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association (VYPA) to increase healthcare access for underserved communities in Viet Nam.
On March 22 Bayer Vietnam sponsored 500,000 boxes of multi-vitamin supplements in the form of effervescent tablets to the VYPA's humanitarian medical campaign. The tablets will reach individuals in need across 49 provinces, especially those facing financial hardship or limited healthcare access in remote areas.
Over the past three decades Bayer has been committed to helping the local community improve health and living conditions.
To facilitate this, the company has formed partnerships with key stakeholders to bring its innovative medicines to millions of Vietnamese.
Notably, it has closely cooperated with the Ministry of Health to carry out the Patient Support Programme.
The programme aims to make high-quality nutrition more accessible for underserved communities nationwide, and ensures that those most in need can access vital supplements for their health and well-being, fostering equitable healthcare for all.
Through the Patient Support Programme, Bayer has delivered nearly two million boxes of multivitamin supplements to vulnerable groups in Viet Nam, through partner organisations that conduct medical screening and treatment.
The programme began in December 2023, and more than 1,700 boxes have been provided so far to healthcare centres in 12 provinces.
Trần Thị Lan Hương, medical director of Bayer Vietnam, said: "This year marks our 30th anniversary of operating in Việt Nam. For three decades, Bayer has been committed to partnering with local organisations that share our vision of improving community health, especially for those facing challenges accessing care.
"We are honored to support the work of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association. This initiative is a meaningful way for us to celebrate Bayer Vietnam’s anniversary by demonstrating our long-term dedication to delivering patient-centered healthcare solutions.
“It moves us closer to realising our global mission—a future where health for all, hunger for none."
Commenting on Bayer's generous support, Dr Hà Anh Đức, president of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, said: “With the guiding principle of 'Where there are young doctors, there will be humanitarian medical initiatives for the community,' the Vietnam Young Physicians Association has stayed committed to providing humanitarian medical care programmes to underserved populations.
“We are grateful for partners like Bayer who share our vision of elevating health standards and quality of life for people nationwide.
"Bayer's contribution provides us with additional resources to expand and enhance the reach and impact of our activities, facilitating earlier illness detection and treatment, raising health awareness, encouraging a healthy lifestyle, and emphasising the importance of self-care practices.”
It is clear that collaboration in healthcare will remain a cornerstone of Bayer's progress.
