HÀ NỘI — The Kingdom of Oman donated ambulances and medical equipment to support the Việt Nam Red Cross Society in COVID-19 prevention and humanitarian activities at a ceremony on Monday in Hà Nội.
The donation includes two ambulances, two ventilators, 20,000 N95 masks, 8,000 fingertip pulse oximeters, 8,000 sets of epidemic prevention clothes, 8,000 electronic personal thermometers and 2,000 latex gloves.
“I am honoured to be here today to present the medical equipment and supplies provided by the Government and the people of Oman to support the Government and people of Việt Nam in responding to the COVID-19 epidemic, and it is also a way to express the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries,” said Executive Director of Oman Charity Mohammed Hamoud Said Al-Zahli.
On behalf of the Việt Nam Red Cross, President Bùi Thị Hòa also expressed her thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government and people of Oman, and the Embassy of Oman in Việt Nam and pledged to use the medical equipment for a good purpose so that needy and disadvantaged people can access and benefit from it. — VNS
