HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam reported 913 new COVID-19 infections in 43 localities on Wednesday, bringing the total caseload in the country to 10,727,918.

New transmissions were recorded in Hà Nội (187), Yên Bái (67), Bắc Ninh (57), Nghệ An (49), Đà Nẵng (38), Lào Cai (35), Phú Thọ (35), Vĩnh Phúc (33), Quảng Ninh (27), Quảng Bình (27), HCM City (26), Bắc Kạn (24), Hà Giang (23), Thái Nguyên (23), Hải Dương (22), Tuyên Quang (21), Nam Định (19), Hưng Yên (17), Thái Bình (16), Hà Nam (14), Lạng Sơn (13), Hà Tĩnh (13), Quảng Trị (12), Sơn La (11), Ninh Bình (10), Lâm Đồng (10), Hòa Bình (9), Bình Phước (8 ), Thanh Hóa (8 ), Thừa Thiên Huế (7), Bình Dương (7), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (6), Lai Châu (6), Cao Bằng (6), Quảng Ngãi (6), Gia Lai (5), Tây Ninh (4), Bắc Giang (3), Điện Biên (3), Bình Định (2), Khánh Hòa (2), Bình Thuận (1) and Đồng Nai (1).

No deaths related to COVID were reported, with the death toll remaining at 43,081, about 0.4 per cent of infections.

8,363 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number given the all-clear since the start of the pandemic to 9,531,653.

Seventy-eight patients are currently receiving oxygen support.

More than 222 million vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far. — VNS
