HCM CITY — The HCM City People’s Committee has decided to allow close contacts (F1) of COVID-19 cases to resume work at workplaces and attend classes in schools.

A document to this effect, issued on Thursday, says that the F1 adults and students should be fully vaccinated or have recovered from the virus within the previous three months.

They should also follow prevention and control measures at their workplaces and schools; self-monitor their health for ten days; and undergo COVID-19 tests on the fifth day if they have symptoms.

The city administration said that the pandemic was being brought under control and most people aged 12 and above have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

In addition, most COVID-19 cases detected recently are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms and recover in a few days.

Therefore, the latest decision aims to minimize interruptions in production, business management, studies, administration and medical care provision. — VNS
