10,321 COVID-19 cases recorded in Việt Nam on Monday

A total of 10,321 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Việt Nam on Monday, taking the total number of infections to 1,104,835.

HÀ NỘI — A total of 10,321 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Việt Nam on Monday, taking the total number of infections to 1,104,835.

The Ministry of Health also announced a further 190 COVID-related fatalities.

Compared to Sunday, the number of daily cases increased nationally by 432. Of the new cases, 22 were imported and quarantined upon arrival.

Hồ Chí Minh City topped the list with 1,547 new infections, followed by Bình Dương with 688 and Tây Ninh with 564.

The capital city of Hà Nội reported 260 new cases.

The other infections were found in Cần Thơ (535 cases), Đồng Nai (522), Đồng Tháp (507), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (399), Sóc Trăng (398), Bạc Liêu (388), Bình Thuận (370), Bến Tre (312), Vĩnh Long (307), Bình Phước (277), An Giang (243), Cà Mau (242), Kiên Giang (221), Trà Vinh (202), Hậu Giang (194), Bắc Ninh (181), Khánh Hòa (168), Đắk Lắk (166), Hà Giang (161), Lâm Đồng (134), Bình Định (116), Thừa Thiên Huế (111), Gia Lai (89), Long An (85), Quảng Nam (80), Tiền Giang (77), Nghệ An (70), Đắk Nông (59), Ninh Thuận (59), Thanh Hóa (57), Nam Định (52), Quảng Ngãi (45), Vĩnh Phúc (39), Thái Bình (38), Quảng Ninh (36), Phú Yên (32), Đà Nẵng (32), Hà Tĩnh (30), Tuyên Quang (29), Điện Biên (28), Quảng Trị (26), Hà Nam (24), Hải Dương (17), Bắc Giang (16), Hưng Yên (16), Hòa Bình (11), Kon Tum (11), Phú Thọ (9), Hải Phòng (5), Thái Nguyên (4), Lào Cai (4), Cao Bằng (3), Sơn La (2), and Yên Bái (1).

A further 4,776 recoveries were reported on Monday, taking the total number of patients given the all-clear to 910,276.

More than 108 million vaccine doses have been administered to date; almost 42 million people have now received two doses. — VNS
