President Võ Văn Thưởng hosted in Tokyo on Tuesday separate receptions for leaders of Japanese parties and Japanese lawmakers and friends who are close to Việt Nam.

President Võ Văn Thưởng, together with his spouse, and Japanese officials, on Tuesday tasted typical dishes of Việt Nam such as “bánh mì”, the Quảng noodles, “phở”, coffee, fresh spring rolls, and sweetened porridge, while visiting “Bánh mì Xin chào”, a Vietnamese sandwich restaurant in Tokyo.

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính expressed his belief that the visit will contribute to raising the efficiency of the comprehensive cooperation between the Brazilian Party and the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) as well as the two countries, especially in science-technology and innovation.

The trip reaffirms Việt Nam's consistent policy on green growth and climate change response as well as its role and position in regional and international cooperation frameworks.

In an interview granted to the press ahead of the PM’s trip to attend the World Climate Action Summit (WCAS) within COP28, hold bilateral activities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and pay an official visit to Turkey from November 29 to December 3, Việt stressed the significance of the summit in the context that climate change remains the biggest challenge and the greatest public concern globally this year.

Việt Nam and France had a solid basis to build the future of cooperation and sharing together because we shared the dynamism of an emerging Việt Nam in Asia, the superiority in science and technology of France, the creativity of the community of more than 300,000 Vietnamese people in France as well as the community of 11,000 French people in Việt Nam.

The UK became a dialogue partner of ASEAN in 2021 and two sides have agreed on a plan of action last year, and are in the process of implementing this plan.

The visits, the first made by Xuân, aimed at carrying out the 13th National Party Congress’ foreign policy of independence and self-reliance for peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralisation and diversification of foreign relations, and deepening relations with traditional partners.

The conference achieved its set goals, contributing to enhancing the prestige of the Vietnamese National Assembly and promoting the images of the land, people, and culture of Việt Nam.

Việt Nam and Japan on November 27 issued a joint statement on the elevation of their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world on the occasion of the official visit to Japan by President Võ Văn Thưởng and his spouse.

The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World marks an important milestone that opens a new chapter of the Việt Nam-Japan relations to be more practical, comprehensive, effective, connected and mutually beneficial.

The visit will be made at the invitation of Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Vương Đình Huệ.

Under the law, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) will be designated as a governing body in charge of building social housing for workers and other beneficiaries. 

The experiences of countries that have overcome the middle-income trap and gained developed status such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore, show that these countries relied very little on resources and mostly on attracting human talent.

President Võ Văn Thưởng's visit takes place at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties.

The host and guest expressed their delight at the results of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Regarding key tasks and solutions in the future, PM Chính asked HCM City to deploy specific policies, explore potentials and advantages as well as exploit its strategic location.
