Vietnamese leaders extend congratulations to China on 71st National Day

Top Vietnamese leaders have sent congratulatory messages to their Chinese counterparts on the 71th National Day of China (October 1).

HÀ NỘI — Top Vietnamese leaders have sent congratulatory messages to their Chinese counterparts on the 71th National Day of China (October 1).

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee and President of Việt Nam Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân respectively offered congratulations to General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Li Zhanshu.

In their messages, the Party and State leaders of Việt Nam congratulated China on its achievements over the last 71 years, voicing their belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping being the core, the Chinese people will continue obtaining great accomplishments during the cause of reform, opening and socialism building with Chinese characteristics.

They affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people always attach importance to developing healthy and stable relations between the two countries, and that Việt Nam is ready to join hands with China to enhance equal and mutually-beneficial cooperation, properly settle outstanding problems, promote the stable and sustainable development of the Việt Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, thereby contributing to regional and global peace, stability, and development in the region and the world at large.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh also extended greetings to Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. — VNS
