Greetings extended to Cambodian People's Party on 74th founding anniversary

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) has sent a message of congratulations to the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and Cambodian people on the occasion of the 74th founding anniversary of the CPP (June 28, 1951 – 2025).

HÀ NỘI — The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) has sent a message of congratulations to the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and Cambodian people on the occasion of the 74th founding anniversary of the CPP (June 28, 1951 – 2025).

In the message, the CPV lauded the CPP’s achievements over the past 74 years despite numerous difficulties and challenges.

It highlighted the CPP’s historic victories in the struggle for national liberation, rescuing Cambodians from the disaster of genocide, firmly protecting the revolutionary gains, and building a peaceful, stable and prosperous Cambodia with growing regional and global stature.

The CPV and Vietnamese people congratulate the CPP on these accomplishments and believe that under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and Standing Board headed by President Hun Sen, the CPP will continue to lead Cambodia to gain new and greater achievements in successfully implementing the CPP's 2023–2028 Platform and the Government’s Pentagonal Strategy Phase VII, with a vision to make Cambodia an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income nation by 2050, said the message.

It underlined that despite the evolving global and regional landscape, marked by intertwined opportunities and challenges, particularly as both countries enter a new era of growth and prosperity, the CPV, the State and the people of Việt Nam always attach great importance to, and give top priority to the development of relations with Cambodia.

Việt Nam will spare no effort in working together with the CPP, the State and the people of Cambodia to safeguard, preserve and nurture the relationship between the two Parties, States and peoples, wrote the message.

On this occasion, Party General Secretary Tô Lâm sent greeting flowers to CPP President and President of Cambodian Senate Hun Sen and CPP Honorary President Heng Samrin.

Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Trần Cẩm Tú also sent flowers to CPP Vice President and Chairman of the Standing Board of the CPP Central Committee Say Chhum.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn also sent a congratulatory letter to CPP Standing Board member and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Cambodia Prak Sokhonn, who also serves as Head of the CPP Central Committee’s External Relations Commission. — VNA/VNS
