HÀ NỘI — Korean entertainment, cuisine, landscape and art were introduced at a presentation called Seoul Show held in Hà Nội on June 3.

The presentation was aimed at promoting Seoul tourism products, strengthening the relationship among tourism service providers between the two countries and providing useful information on Seoul tourism to the people of Việt Nam.

During the event, Vietnamese and Korean travel enterprises exchanged and signed co-operation agreements to boost tourism.

“Seoul ranked seventh in Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Cities for 2017 and is the only Asian city to figure in the top 10 list. Every year, the number of Vietnamese tourists travelling to Seoul has been increasing dramatically. Last year, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Seoul was 320,000. The number is expected to increase further this year,” Lee Joon, representative director of the Seoul Tourism Organisation (STO), said at the presentation.

Lee said STO this year signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saigontourist Company and Viettravel Company to facilitate more Korean tourists to Việt Nam and vice versa.

At the Seoul Show, visitors were provided with useful information about Seoul tourism, such as the “Discover Seoul Pass” free travel card, the Hallyu live experience programme (Korean wave) and cultural Seoul sightseeing tours with commentators.

At the event, STO also introduced the official website of Seoul tourism, visitseoul.net, where tourists can find information and tour packages to the city. — VNS
