Toyota offers award prizes for children winning Dream Car Art Contest

Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) held an award ceremony yesterday in Hà Nội for the 6th Toyota Dream Car Art Contes, one of the biggest national art competition for children.

Hà Nội — Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) held an award ceremony on Sunday in Hà Nội for the sixth Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, one of the biggest national art competitions for children.

Prizes included 15 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 38 third prizes and 100 consolation prizes. Also, among 168 winning artworks, the jury board also selected nine artworks to participate in the world contest in Japan. The winners (together with their guardians) will be invited to Japan to attend the Award Ceremony in August 2017.

In its sixth year, the contest was launched in primary schools nationwide and TMV dealers in January. From January10 to March 10, the contest received a total of 544,200 entries.

Nguyễn Đức Hữu, standing deputy director of Primary Education Department under the Ministry of Education and Training, said “For all children, the result of the contest today is meaningful. They have shown their creativeness and dreams about safe and modern vehicles, as well as conveyed messages about better traffic environment, with the message ‘Draw dreams – Drive the future with you all to become good and creative citizens’.”

Toru Kinoshita, TMV’s President said “Continuing the success of the contest, we will expand and enhance it to be a meaningful playground for pupils to develop their dreams and creativeness.”

Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has been held annually by Toyota Motor Corporation since 2004. It has been attracting more and more participation of children in more than 90 countries and regions and become one of the global biggest art contests for children. — VNS
