Đà Nẵng to host VN, ASEAN film fests

The film Sài Gòn, Anh Yêu Em (Sài Gòn, I Love You), which won the Golden Kite award for the best feature film earlier this year, will be screened at the opening ceremony of the 20th Vietnamese Film Festival in the central city on November 24th. At the same time, the ASEAN Film Awards will be held for the first time.

The best bánh giầy is said to be found in Quán Gánh Village, about 15 kilometres from central Hà Nội. Villagers now deliver their specialty all over the country where it is served up in restaurants, parties or used as a quick breakfast.

Beatles for sale: German police recover John Lennon diaries

German police on Monday arrested a 58-year-old man in Berlin on suspicion of handling stolen items from John Lennon's estate, including the late Beatle's diaries. The items were stolen from Lennon's widow Yoko Ono in New York in 2006 and have been seized as evidence, Martin Steltner, a spokesman for the Berlin prosecutor's office, said.
