HÀ NỘI — Who Am I?, a reality TV show, will be aired in May to offer career opportunities to female workers in the art, beauty and lifestyle industries.

Any woman living in Việt Nam is eligible to apply for the show, which is being co-organised by Hà Nội Television and Dabin Media Company.

In the first round, participants will send a video clip explaining their talents to the organisers. As many as 50 contestants will be selected to live in a shared house for the next round. There they will face challenges on-field, online and in-studio, for example, designing a space and doing a makeover for someone.

Four contestants will enter the final round to compete for a prize of VNĐ1 billion (nearly US$42,000).

Lee Dong-guen, director of Dabin Media, said the contest aims to find new talents in the field of lifestyle and beauty. They will receive a chance to express themselves in the Asian market. They will also win contracts to work as brand ambassadors.

The judges and guests will include leading celebrities from Việt Nam and South Korea such as singer Hyo Min of T-ara, singer Yook Sung-jae of BTOB and make-up artist Kim Hye-jung.

“With the interesting format and a leading production team, the reality show promises to bring TV audiences high quality entertainment and introduce the latest trends in beauty and fashion industry,” said director Lee.

The launch ceremony and auditions kicked off last week in Hà Nội.
