HCM CITY — Young pop idol Orange of HCM City has released her latest music video (MV), Tôi Thất Tình (Ugly) after winning the Asian Supernova Award 2019 presented by the Hong Kong Asian – Pop Music Festival 2019 recently.
The MV is an electropop production by musician and producer Châu Đăng Khoa in co-operation with his partner, the band Superbrothers.
The MV is about love and betrayal from the perspective of a young girl.
Orange and her producers worked for several months in the studio to make her new MV “to serve my fans, who have supported me from zero to glory today”, said the 23-year-old singer.
Orange, whose real name is Khương Hoàn Mỹ, began her professional career in HCM City in 2014, after performing in a TV reality show produced by HCM City Television.

In the MV, Orange performs with rapper Karik. Both sing Vietnamese pop in a different style than young singers.
Người Lạ Ơi attracted more than 50 million views in just 13 days after its release on YouTube.
The song helped Orange bring home several top prizes presented by leading television stations and music online channels and websites.
In December, Orange performed and won the Mnet Asian Music Awards’Best New Asian Artist in Korea.
She sang her new song Tôi Thất Tình at the Hong Kong Asian – Pop Music Festival 2019 last month. She also covered Secret Love Song by Little Mix.
