HCM CITY — Lâm Đồng Province’s authorities have announced a plan to develop the Đan Kia-Suối Vàng area into a national tourism site by 2030.
The province plans to develop tourism infrastructure and unique tourism products at the Đankia- Suối Vàng area and connect it with the Tuyền Lâm national tourism site in Đà Lạt City and other tourist attractions in the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng.
The Đan Kia-Suối Vàng area covers 4,000 hectares in Đà Lạt City and Lạc Dương District in the province.
Under the plan approved by the Prime Minister, tourism infrastructure will be developed on 760 hectares of the total area.
Cultural tourism, sport and leisure tourism, eco-tourism and agricultural tourism products will be given priority to develop at the site.
Leisure tourism will focus on products such as lake resorts, golf courses, a spa and wellness activities.
The site is expected to welcome 3 million visitors and earn tourism revenue of VNĐ1.2 trillion (US$51.66 million) by 2025.
By 2030, the number of visitors to the site is expected to reach 5 million, including 100,000 foreign visitors.
Phan Văn Đa, deputy chairman of Lâm Đồng Province’s People’s Committee, asked relevant departments to foster protection of forest and lakes, and prevent illegal construction at the site.
The committee also announced a list of 17 priority projects on tourism-related infrastructure and facilities for the Đan Kia-Suối Vàng area. — VNS
