Tulip Festival breaks national record

Guinness Việt Nam has recognised the Tulip Festival at Le Jardin d’Amour in Sun World Bà Nà Hills as the biggest in Việt Nam.

ĐÀ NẴNG — Guinness Việt Nam has recognised the Tulip Festival at Le Jardin d’Amour in Sun World Bà Nà Hills as the biggest in Việt Nam.

The festival, which began on February 14 on the slopes of the 1,471m mountain, features more than 1 million tulips imported from the Netherlands and Đà Lạt.

A collection of famous 15 species were shipped to the tourism destination in presentation for the festival.

The festival will last until March 31.

A third cable car route at Bà Nà Hills has four Guinness World records including the longest one line cable car in the world (5,771.61m); the highest height difference between departure and destination (1,368.93m); the longest non-stop cable (11,585m); and the world’s heaviest cable rolls (141.24 tonnes).

The cable car is able to carry 1,500 passengers per hour.

The third cable car route at the mountain resort was also listed as 10 of the world’s most amazing cable car experiences by CNN in 2013.
