HÀ NỘI — Street dance groups consisting of students from 23 high schools across Hà Nội will compete at the HighSchool Best Dance Crew 2019 - The Warrior Return on March 3.

The second season of the contest will witness the participation of 24 dance groups who will perform in the Showcase round, where each group will stage a dance repertoire they have choreographed themselves. The eight best groups will be selected for the Freestyle final.

The best group of the Showcase category will win VNĐ3 million (US$130), while the winners of Freestyle will be given VNĐ5 million ($215).

In the debut season last year, the group Klic from Kim Liên High School in Đống Đa District won first prize.

The contest, organised by No.6 Dance Studio in collaboration with Last Fire Crew, aims to develop a community of teenage dancers.

Representative of the organiser No.6 Dance Studio, Lê Anh Tuấn, said that the number of participants has increased from 14 groups last year to 24 this year.

“Though the prize’s value is not much, the increasing number of participants is clear evidence showing that the competition is something interesting for high school students,” he said.

The High School Best Dance Crew 2019 - The Warrior Return will take place from 3.30pm on March 3 at the University of Languages and International Studies’ gymnasium, 1 Phạm Văn Đồng Road, Cầu Giấy District.  — VNS
