HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam will for the first time co-operate with Japan to produce a horror movie about zombies, entitled Gameshow Tử Thần (Game Show of Death). The film is a remake of famous Japanese horror flick St. Zombie Girls’ High School.
The film tells the story of four beautiful and famous Vietnamese girls entering the final round of a Japanese gameshow with a top prize of US$100,000. They move together to a school in Tokyo, following a tough training regime and strictly following the rules of the contest. As soon as they enter the school, they begin to encounter strange and mysterious phenomenon.
Gameshow Tử Thần is directed by famed Japanese director, Kazuhisa Yusa, who is known as a master of visual effects. Some films showcasing his skills include Real Onigokko and Samurai Marathon. Besides working as a director, he was also responsible for editorial work and special effects on St. Zombie Girls College, released in 2017.
