ĐÀ NẴNG — The Sun World Bà Nà Hills Mountain resort, 1,500m above sea level, has launched a beer festival, the B’estival 2018 to celebrate summer holidays, offering 1 million litres of German beer for tourists between May and September.

The beer festival organisers said the beer festival, which opened on April 30, aims to lure tourists to spend the festive season in the mountain rendezvous this summer. It lasts through September 5.

A 3,000-seat Beer Plaza in the Du Dome Park was designed for the beer festival with German-style cuisine, BBQ parties and fashion from Oktoberfest – the famous Bavaria beer festival.

More than 200 artists from Europe will perform during the four-month long beer festival in the cool air of the Bà Nà mountain climate.

The mountain resort, which has become a favourite destination and entertainment complex among locals and tourists in the summer, preserves an old wine cellar, which was built in the French colonial style from the previous century.

The beer festival, in combination with the International Fireworks Festival, organised between April and June, will lure more tourists to the beach city this summer.

According to the Đà Nẵng City’s tourism department, 250,000 tourists, of which 100,000 were foreigners, visited the city during the four-day vacation period between April 28th and May Day. — VNS
