HCM CITY – An ASEAN Village has been created in 23/9 Park in HCM City’s District 1 featuring many cultural, tourism and trade promotion activities.
To welcome visitors from September 21 to 24, the village has been set up to strengthen ties among 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and promote cultural, trade and tourism exchanges between them.
There are around 200 booths displaying commercial products, cultural publications and souvenirs, traditional dishes and specialities of the ASEAN member countries.
Organised by the city Department of External Affairs and the consulates of ASEAN member nations, it is expected to attract around 500,000 visitors.
The event marks the 50th founding anniversary of ASEAN and 22 years of Việt Nam’s accession to the bloc.
