Traditional cultural features of various ethnic groups residing in northern plateau of Mộc Châu in Sơn La Province will be highlights at the National Village for Việt Nam's Ethnic Culture and Tourism between April 29 and May 1.

HÀ NỘI — Traditional cultural features of various ethnic groups residing in northern plateau of Mộc Châu in Sơn La Province will be on show at the National Village for Việt Nam’s Ethnic Culture and Tourism between April 29 and May 1.

A mountain market with traditional food, folk games, art shows and agricultural products will gather groups of Mông, Dao, Thái, Mường, Khơ Mú and Tày at the site.

Representatives from the groups will make traditional food, handmade embroidery and jewellery.

In April 30 morning, a ceremony celebrating the new crop by Mông group will be held while a seeding ceremony from the Tà Ôi group will be organised on May 1. The ceremonies will be held between 9am and 10.30am.

The village is located in Đồng Mô, Sơn Tây District, 45km west of Hà Nội’s centre. — VNS
