HÀ NÔI — The second Young Photography Festival has just launched in Hà Nội. The festival will be gathering photos for an exhibition to be held in October, celebrating the 63rd anniversary of Hà Nội’s liberation from the French on October 10, 1954.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vương Duy Biên, noted that the festival aimed to seek artistic photographs by young artists across a range of styles.

"The works submitted to the contest should reflect people, society, landscapes and the process of building and protecting the country," he said at the launch ceremony held on Friday.

All Vietnamese citizens, between 18 and 35 years of age, living both in and outside the country, are eligible to enter. Each photographer can send up to 8 photos.

Entries should be sent in a JPG digital format, at a resolution of at least 300dpi, and size of no more than 4Mb.
