HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Công Trí, one of Việt Nam’s top designers, opened the Fall Winter Vietnam International Fashion Week 2016 with his impressive collection "The girl of a stranger, and me!"
This year marks Trí’s 10th year in the fashion business. After a decade, he wanted to remember the first days in the business as a young talented man with lots of passion but little experience. He has come a long way to join the best designers in our country.
His designs this year boast a large strong colour palate with materials ranging from taffeta to fur with lots of lavishly ornated gowns.
Next Top Model 2016 runner-up La Thanh Thanh opened Trí's show.

Trí chose only three Vietnamese models for opening and ending his show, and the rest were westerners from Hà Nội. Supermodel Thanh Hằng wowed the thousands in the audience when she closed the show in her pink bodysuit extravaganza.
Ms. Trang Lê, ViFW President, said in her opening speech that Việt Nam also takes on the world trend of "see now, buy now". It means now fashionistas do not have to wait for six months until they can purchase the show costumes the day after the show. All show costumes will be for sale after this week at Hà Nội’s Tràng Tiền Plaza. "It is the organisers choice to protect designers' creativity as their designs shallnot be copied," Trang Lê said. — VNS
