HÀ NỘI — Thousands of people are expected to join the cherry blossom festival that will be held for the first time in the southern province of Đồng Nai this weekend.

The festival includes an exhibition on cherry flowers, and Vietnamese and Japanese culture.

Many Japanese films will air on TV during the event. Along with the festival, other events will be held to promote trade between the two countries.

This year, the cherry blossom festival is being held in Quảng Ninh, Hà Nội, Bắc Ninh and HCM City. — VNS
