HCM CITY – Three graduates of HCM City Fine Arts University are showcasing their new works at the city Fine Arts Museum.

The exhibition entitled “The 9th Hour” displays 60 oil on canvas paintings and a sculpture by Nguyễn Duy Nhựt, Nguyễn Thành Nhân and Nguyễn Hồng Đức.

Nhựt said the exhibition shows the artists’ love for art. It is also a place where the artists can focus on their own feelings and faith in the beauty of life.

He said, “Creating art helps me find my own peace after moments of observation and experiences in life”.

The artist has brought 30 oil on canvas and a sculpture tiled Ghế to the exhibition.

He uses the cubism style and bright colours to express his inner peace in a dynamic life.

He said, “Cubism is not only an art style but also a search for understanding and self-awareness”.

Painter Nhân showcases 24 abstract paintings. All are titled Đường Tơ (Silk Thread).

These works create impressions through endless colourful silk threads. The threads interact with or against each other to express his thoughts of the universe, or his emotions of life.

Meanwhile, Đức introduces six paintings, including a diptych and a triptych.

His paintings feature a combination of colour and structure to reflect different aspects of urban life, and the beauty of people and landscapes in modern life.

Đức said, “Life is considered colourful puzzle pieces. Each piece is a single world. I want to discover myself through a kaleidoscope from the real world.”

The exhibition will be open until October 29. The museum is situated at 97A Phó Đức Chính Street in District 1. – VNS
