HCM CITY — An art book about the culture and lifestyle of HCM City by writer Nguyễn Chiều Xuân has been released by the Hà Nội Publishing House and its partner, Lionbooks.
The book, Bụi Ở Sài Gòn (Living in Sài Gòn), features the journey of Bụi, a cat with dreams of discovering the world and people.
Bụi’s adventure begins when she meets Bòn Bon, a school boy living in HCM City who saves Bụi from living on the street.
Bụi and his new friend Bòn Bon help young readers discover the beauty of HCM City, its culture and lifestyle, and local people in daily life through their stories.

Bụi Ở Sài Gòn includes watercolour paintings by female artist Cẩm Nhung. The pictures are colourful and lively, featuring old streets, buildings, shops and markets which make up the city’s unique atmosphere.
“I love HCM City, its history and culture. I hope our book can touch children’s hearts and encourage and inspire them to dream and discover the world," said artist Nhung.
“Bụi Ở Sài Gòn is part of the art book project called Em Yêu Việt Nam (I Love Việt Nam) launched by Lionbooks. The project encourages children to write stories and create pictures on different minorities groups in Việt Nam. — VNS
