ĐÀ NẴNG — Rain failed to dampen the spirits of firework fans in Đà Nẵng as teams from France and Canada lit up the skies above the central city.

The two teams faced difficulties in the run up to the second night of the Đà Nẵng International Fireworks Festival due to downpours on June 10th.

Both teams selected lively music for their performances inline with the night festival’s theme: Love without borders.

France kicked off the night with Unsustainable – a song by English rock band Muse – sending a message to the world that energy is naturally expended and consumed and no new energy produced, unlimited growth is unsustainable.

The team also reserved two minutes for a romance Vietnamese song: Đừng hỏi em (Don’t Ask Me) by Đà Nẵng City-born pop singer Mỹ Tâm in the list of 10 songs on the music-based performance as they want to emphasise understanding between people, human connection with each other and with nature.

Meanwhile, Canadian team started the show with Crash 2.0 in the 14-song list of the music in the 20-minute performance as the team aimed to celebrate a world without distance where all the people are the same.

Thousands of spectators attended at the main stage to enjoy the second night fireworks shows, and visitors and local residents also gathered at two iconic bridges of Rồng (Dragon) and Thuận Phước as well as free stands on the banks of Hàn River.
