HCM CITY — Nguyễn Huệ Flower Street, HCM City's most popular destination, has attracted more than 1.2 million visitors during the Spring festival.
This year marks its 20th anniversary, and has the theme ‘Xuân An Vui – Xuân Thịnh Vượng’ (Spring of Happiness – Spring of Prosperity).
The street has giant replicas of a cat and her kittens surrounded by a patch of colourful flowers at the entrance.
Also impressive is a 40-metre-long bridge for people to get a panoramic view of the flowers.
The street features around 80 kinds of flowers, including chrysanthemums, roses, orchids, azaleas, and lotuses besides cacti.
It is hailed as environmentally friendly for its use of reusable materials such as metal, rattan, bamboo, brick, and fabric.
