HÀ NỘI — At semi-finals held in Hà Nội on October 25, forty top candidates were selected to take part next month in the grand finale of the beauty pageant Miss Tourism Việt Nam 2022.

Contestants engaged in different competitions throughout the night, beginning with the traditional áo dài (long dress) demonstration on stage. They were then divided into groups and introduced themselves to judges and the audience.

Next, they took part in the gown and swimsuit competitions which helped them to show off their catwalk abilities under brilliant 3D visual and light effects.

The semi-finals also saw performances of fan-favourite singers Tuấn Hưng, Lương Bích Hữu, Uyên Linh and Quang Hà.

Many celebrities and beauty contest winners, including Miss Universe Việt Nam 2019 Nguyễn Trần Khánh Vân, Miss Việt Nam 2012's first runner-up Dương Tú Anh and reigning Miss Tourism Việt Nam Phan Thị Ngọc Diễm, also took part in the night.

The finale will be held on November 12 in Phú Quốc island, Kiên Giang Province.

The winner will receive a cash prize of VNĐ300 million (US$12,900) and a beautiful crown made of pearls along with other valuable gifts.

The first and the second runners-up will pocket VNĐ200 million ($8,600) and VNĐ100 million ($4,300), respectively, together with gifts.

The organisers will also present other titles such as Miss Talent, Miss Áo Dài (traditional long dress), Miss Top Model, Miss Beach Beauty, among others. Each winner will earn VNĐ50 million ($2,150) and gifts.

The contest and finale will see the participation of national A-list entertainment stars, celebrities and beauty winners. It is expected to be aired live on VTVcab's platforms and other social networks, and will be transmitted through local television stations.

The Miss Tourism Việt Nam 2022 is co-organised by the MultiStyle Joint Stock Company and VTVcab.

The contest aims to promote the national tourism sector and promote Việt Nam as a beautiful, friendly and safe destination for local, regional and international friends.
