The S-Express has been organised for the first time in Việt Nam, offering an opportunity for film lovers to learn about the film industry as well as the culture of ASEAN countries.

The S-Express Vietnam 2022 is hosted in the cultural space Cà phê Thứ Bảy (Saturday Coffee), at the initiative of movie curator Marcus Mạnh Cường Vũ. Vũ is also the curator of Vietnamese movies participating in the S-Express programme.

Initiated in 2002, the S-Express is an annual collaboration of short film programmes from Southeast Asian countries. This programme is an insight into the development of filmmaking in the region. It aims to bring the selected films from each region to travel to their neighbouring countries. Việt Nam joined the programme in 2016.

In HCM City, the programme will be held at 79A Phan Kế Bính Street, Đa Kao Ward, District 1.
