The skies above Tuyên Quang City came alive yesterday with 20 hot air balloons. To mark the beginning of the province's tourism year, the Tuyên Quang International Hot Air Balloon Festival took flight.

Singer-songwriter Đồng Lan studied at American School of Modern Music in Paris. She wanted to be a teacher before she won top award at a French Singing Contest in 2008. She later appeared on Giọng Hát Việt (The Voice of Việt Nam) and she is popular for singing French songs. She is currently carrying out the music project Redmoon about women. Tiền Phong (Vanguard) newspaper reporter Nguyễn Mạnh Hà spoke to her about the new project. 

The Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta city of Cần Thơ will organise a Tài Tử competition from April 6-14 as part of cultural activities planned to promote tourism.
