Sacombank shareholders green-light online annual general meeting

Sài Gòn Thương Tín Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Sacombank) on Wednesday announced its annual shareholders’ meeting will be held online.

HCM CITY — Saigon Thương Tín Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) on Wednesday said a majority of its shareholders have given approval for holding the annual general meeting for 2019 online.

To ensure the meeting can be held safely amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the bank decided to cancel the AGM scheduled for April 24 and sought shareholders’ opinions through a written ballot on organising virtual meetings including the AGM.

More than 97 per cent were agreeable to attending an online AGM and electronic voting.

The meeting will take place on June 5 at the White Palace Convention Centre in Phú Nhuận District, HCM City.
