After more than a month of coordination across the national and provincial levels of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front system, the programme has compiled nominations from all provinces and cities nationwide.
The evaluation and verification process was conducted under the close supervision of the VFF Central Committee to ensure representation and social equity across gender, age, ethnicity, religion, region and professional backgrounds.
From this list of nominations, the Selection Committee carefully reviewed and selected 150 inspiring individuals whose contributions span a wide spectrum of community impact.
Many of them are devoted to strengthening education and vocational training by improving skills, offering career guidance and expanding learning opportunities for disadvantaged groups.
Others are advancing environmental sustainability through efforts to protect natural resources and encourage sustainable living or production practices.
Several nominees have championed healthy and balanced lifestyles, promoting physical activity, well-being and a sense of social responsibility. In numerous communities, individuals have driven development projects that create positive change and enrich local cultural life.
The list also includes those who work to preserve national identity by promoting traditional culture, folk arts or community sports that bring people together. Additionally, many nominees are applying scientific and technological innovations to support sustainable development and help their communities adapt and thrive.
The Selection Committee, comprising representatives from the Central Committee of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, Đại Đoàn Kết Newspaper, SABECO leadership and experts across various fields, was established to ensure the credibility and transparency of the selection process. The award’s criteria have also been carefully designed to ensure fairness and inclusivity, prioritising grassroots changemakers, individuals whose impactful work may not have been widely publicised or previously recognised at national or international levels.
Based on a weighted scoring system, with 70 per cent from online voting and 30 per cent from the Central Evaluation Council’s assessment, the 15 National Ambassadors of Progress will be selected and honoured at the Award Ceremony in Hà Nội.
The Ambassador of National Progress Award is a meaningful initiative under the 150 Years Living Legacy campaign launched by SABECO. The campaign stands as a tribute to SABECO’s 150 years of Vietnamese brewing excellence and its deep-rooted connection with the Vietnamese people.
