The campaign aims to raise funds to refurbish the kitchen at the Thanh Tuyền Kindergarten (campus 2) in Dầu Tiếng District, Bình Dương Province, which has around 80 students.
The campaign consists of two main activities: a social media campaign and an outdoor community event.
The company has pledged up to US$30,000 upon achieving a collective 100 million steps contributed from the social media campaign and 10 million steps logged by all participants in the outdoor community event.
Interested parties can register for the event at www.togetherwestep.vn.
The “Together We Step: Step For Kindness” campaign is part of CapitaLand’s long-standing commitment to sustainable development, community engagement and positive impact in Vietnam, where it has been operating since 1994.
The social media campaign runs from February 24 to March 24.
The outdoor community event will be held on March 31 at Bình Dương New City in Bình Dương Province.
Participants can choose to cover a distance of either two or five kilometres, and opt to jog or simply walk with their friends, family members and pets.
The event is open to everyone regardless of age or fitness level.
Commenting on behalf of the organisers, Ronald Tay, CEO of CapitaLand Development (Vietnam), said: “This event is not only a fitness challenge, but also a way for us to show our care and compassion for the community. We have partnered with the Bình Dương Provincial Red Cross Society, a reputable and trusted organisation, to identify the beneficiaries and the needs of this campaign.
“As CapitaLand celebrates 30 years in Việt Nam this year, we invite everyone to join us in this meaningful effort to make a positive difference. Together, we can contribute more to enrich lives and uplift communities in need.
