BẮC GIANG — Trina Solar Group on Friday started operation of a US$100-million factory manufacturing solar panels in the Quang Châu Industrial Park in Việt Yên District, northern Bắc Giang Province.
The factory, which is able to generate 800MW per year, is the seventh factory now operating in Bắc Giang province.
With eight projects for solar panels licensed with a total investment of $635 million, Bắc Giang has become the province with largest scale of solar panel production. These projects have a total capacity of 5,200MW per year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyễn Văn Linh, Chairman of the Bắc Giang People’s Committee, asked Trina Solar group to pay attention to technology appliance so as to create high-quality products while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and the reasonable use of resources.
He also requested local agencies to create favourable conditions for enterprises to operate and guide them in implementing labour laws, work safety and environmental protection. — VNS
