NAB Vietnam and RMIT Vietnam Forge Strategic Partnership to develop Vietnam’s tech talent

On 20 January 2025, NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam (NAB Vietnam) has struck a strategic partnership with RMIT University Vietnam at NAB Vietnam’s premises in HCMC to shape and develop tech talent pathways. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) underscores NAB Vietnam’s commitment to developing talent and creating meaningful career pathways for students.

The newly signed MOU between NAB Vietnam and RMIT Vietnam focuses on equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the rapidly evolving global tech economy. The partnership’s vision is brought to life through initiatives that integrate real-world business insights into academic learning and emphasize hands-on experience.

NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam’s General Director Howard Silby said: “We are excited to partner with RMIT University to build talent pipelines and support the development of future leaders in Vietnam. This MOU exemplifies our commitment to investing in education and creating opportunities for students and professionals alike.”

The collaboration will see NAB Vietnam actively contribute to RMIT’s curriculum by integrating case studies, co-designing projects, and aligning specialized majors and minors with industry demands.

Central to this partnership is Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, offering students real-world experience through internships, fieldwork placements, and workplace simulations at NAB Vietnam. Additionally, NAB Vietnam will actively engage in RMIT’s career fairs, extracurricular events, and guest lecture programs, providing students with networking opportunities and industry insights.

Jodie Altan, Associate Pro Vice Chancellor-Engagement at RMIT Vietnam, expressed excitement about the partnership: "We are excited about the potential this strategic partnership holds for both RMIT Vietnam and NAB Vietnam, most importantly, for our students. This partnership is designed with RMIT students in mind, and together we aim to nurture the next generation. RMIT students will gain invaluable hands-on experiences through tailored NAB programs and internships, preparing them for the dynamic workforce."
