The agreement focuses on supporting the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies, sharing expertise and international experience, and exchanging threat intelligence and data on cyberthreats.

Amid Việt Nam’s rapid digital transformation, cyber risks are increasing in both scale and sophistication. Over the past nearly 20 years, Kaspersky has collaborated with government agencies, businesses and research institutions in Việt Nam, contributing to efforts to strengthen capabilities in addressing cyberthreats. In 2025, Kaspersky further expanded its presence by opening an official office in HCM City.

The signing ceremony took place on September 8, with senior representatives from both sides in attendance. Denis Davydov, Senior Vice President for Government Relations at Kaspersky, and Lieutenant Colonel Triệu Mạnh Tùng, Deputy Director of the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Under the agreement, the two sides agreed to promote the exchange of knowledge, expertise and technological solutions to strengthen their capabilities in preventing, detecting and responding to cybercrime and high-tech crime, contributing to a safe and secure cyberspace.

Denis Davydov said: “In an increasingly complex cyberthreat landscape, multi-stakeholder cooperation is essential to strengthening resilience. The partnership between Kaspersky and the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department demonstrates our shared commitment to capacity building, knowledge exchange, and enhancing Việt Nam’s cybersecurity posture in the face of emerging challenges.”

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Triệu Mạnh Tùng said: “Việt Nam is accelerating its digital transformation alongside the imperative to ensure cybersecurity and information safety. Cooperation with Kaspersky will provide valuable international expertise and experience, helping us strengthen our capacity to proactively respond to increasingly sophisticated cyberthreats, while also promoting cybersecurity awareness and culture across society.”

The signing of the MoU marks a step towards strengthening cybersecurity capabilities and reflects the commitment of the two sides to working together to build a safe, secure and sustainable cyberspace./.
