Opening ceremony of the VIFA ASEAN 2024 |
According to a report by market research organisation CSIL, Vietnam’s furniture industry has experienced remarkable growth, with an average annual increase of 10 per cent in production and 11 per cent in exports. This impressive achievement propelled Vietnam to the sixth position globally in terms of furniture export value in 2023.
As one of the top three furniture producers and exporters in Asia, just behind China and India, Vietnam has solidified its position as a major player in the global furniture market. This growth has paved the way for the establishment of VIFA ASEAN, which aims to promote trade and enhance the reputation of Vietnam’s and Southeast Asia’s furniture industry on the global stage.
The second edition of VIFA ASEAN in 2024 was a remarkable success, attracting over 224 businesses, with 603 exhibition booths and 7,128 visitors, including 1,835 professional buyers from 60 countries and territories. The top 10 countries with the most visitors to VIFA ASEAN 2024 were China, Japan, Taiwan (China), the United States, India, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), and the Philippines. Additionally, more than 200,000 visitors from 85 countries and territories visited the VIFA ASEAN website, further demonstrating the event’s global appeal. This success reinforces Vietnam’s leading position in the furniture manufacturing and export industry.
