A sleeper bus, carrying 30 passengers suddenly caught fire early Monday morning when it was travelling on a section of National Highway No 1A passing through Đồng Nai Province’s Xuân Hưng Commune.

ĐỒNG NAI — A sleeper bus, carrying 30 passengers suddenly caught fire early Monday morning when it was travelling on a section of National Highway No 1A passing through Đồng Nai Province’s Xuân Hưng Commune.

The fire caused the passengers to panic, but, fortunately, no casualties were reported because when the bus driver noticed the first signs of the fire, he immediately stopped the bus on the side of the road and asked the passengers to get off.

The incident occurred when the bus was travelling from coastal central Bình Định Province to HCM City.

The bus and the entire luggage were destroyed. Local police are investigating the incident. — VNS
